Who is Florida Health Partners? (FHP)
Florida Health Partners, Inc. (FHP) was first formed under Florida law in 1993. ValueOptions® and Florida Behavioral Health (FBH) came together to form FHP. That is why FHP is unique. It is a public/private partnership. ValueOptions® is the largest, private mental health and wellness company in the country. FBH is a local group of providers. They are a not-for-profit group. We offer mental health services. We also offer substance abuse services. FHP serves Florida Medipass enrollees. We serve people in 18 counties.
FHP opened the Tampa Regional Engagement Center (TREC) in 1996. The state is divided into 11 Medicaid Areas. Services are provided under the Prepaid Mental Health Plan. FHP started the first contract in Area Six. Since then, FHP has grown to include Areas Five, Seven and Eight. We manage mental health care for more than 250,000 Medipass enrollees. FHP works to provide timely access to the right services. We strive to get good care outcomes. FHP cares what our members think. We work to earn high approval scores for the care we manage.
FHP’s provider partners know local communities. They know their members. We know managed care strategies. We employ best practices. The FBH partner providers are:
Medicaid Area 5
Medicaid Area 6
Medicaid Area 7
