The Department of Medical Affairs includes the ValueOptions® Medical Director, with the support of the other Medical Directors in the Public Sector Division of ValueOptions® across the country. Dr. J. David Moore, M.D., DFAPA is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with over 33 years of experience and practice in the State of Florida. Dr. Moore has been the Medical Director of the ValueOptions® PMHP Contracts since they began in Area 6 in 1996. This department coordinates and leads the Clinical and Quality Improvement Departments within the Tampa Regional Service Center for the Florida PMHP contracts within Florida Health Partners and North Florida Behavioral Health Partners.
This department is responsible for the clinical/quality development of the PMHP providers over time. The philosophy of the department is to allow the providers to provide appropriate care with the input of ValueOptions® expertise and oversight through outlier management. That means that the department works with the other departments in the service center to monitor and evaluate the care being provided through the use of data from the providers and the Agency for Health Care Administration.
