We Can Help
Emergencies

What do I do if I have a mental health emergency?

A mental health emergency is when you feel like hurting yourself or someone else or when you are not able to care for yourself because of a mental health problem. If you have a mental health emergency, you should:

  1. Call the nearest Network Provider Emergency Service Program
  2. Call the Service Center at the number for your Medicaid Area:
    • Area 5: 888-563-9022
    • Area 6: 800-808-8033
    • Area 7: 866-717-3816
    • Area 8: 866-218-6069
  3. Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room and ask them to call FHP.
